The Procedure
During your abdominal liposuction, you will be conscious and numb to any pain thanks to lidocaine, a local anesthetic.
After the lidocaine is administered, a microcannula is inserted into the abdominal region. This tiny medical tool works to suction fat cells out of the area precisely and with much less injury to surrounding tissue than with normal cannulae.
While suction is taking place, your abdominal muscles will be tensed. This makes it easier to stabilize the area in order to more accurately and carefully remove fat cells.
You will also stand at various points during your abdominal liposuction in order to give the surgeon a better idea of how the area will look. Lying down causes changes in the view of the area; gravity affects its look during these times. Standing offers a more accurate view.
Once the procedure is complete, over 90% of excess abdominal fat has typically been trimmed away, resulting in a fit, sexy stomach. Traditional liposuction procedures can only remove around 50% of this excess fat.
Traditional liposuction can also leave hanging excess skin. Interactive Liposuction is so precise that afterwards, the skin is able to retract and tighten, creating a smooth, beautiful stomach.
Recovery Process
Following abdominal liposuction for women, the patient will need to relax at home for around three days. During the recovery process, the patient will be dealing with mild post-operative swelling and bruising. Soreness and tenderness can persist in the stomach region, and pain medication will be available to address this.
For around three weeks, it will be important to take a break from one’s usual workout schedule in order to let the tissues heal. Once three weeks have passed, healing will likely have progressed to the point where exercise is permitted.
After about three to five months, swelling will have ameliorated and the full results of the procedure will be evident.
