Working Out After Arm Sculpting – Your Expert Guide

Body contouring is becoming increasingly popular these days. There are lots of procedures to choose from. However, arm sculpting is on the rise. Here at Artlipo, our Celebrity Arms procedure is frequently requested by women who want to eradicate arm fat. By removing those stubborn fat pockets, this procedure can give women back the beautifully toned arms they desire.

Having your arms sculpted is a minimally invasive procedure. However, it’s important to follow the proper aftercare instructions. If you don’t follow the surgeon’s instructions, you could harm your recovery. Even worse, you can affect the quality of results that you’ve achieved.

It’s very tempting to wonder how quickly you can start working out after your lipo procedure. After all, you want to maintain the fat loss and enhance the results. However, it’s essential to be aware of how soon you can return to the gym after this treatment.

Here, we give you an expert guide to a workout timeline after your procedure. This will ensure you don’t cause any damage to your beautifully toned arms.

The First Couple of Days

Since we carry out your arm sculpting procedure under a local anesthetic, you’ll return home the same day. The recovery period is also much shorter than if we used a general anesthetic. However, that doesn’t mean you can immediately return to all your normal activities.

For a couple of days after your appointment, you should focus on rest and relaxation. You’ll almost certainly feel sore and stiff. There will also be a certain amount of bruising and swelling. Rest assured this is completely normal. You can reduce the discomfort by taking the medication your surgeon prescribed for you.

During this early recovery stage, take it very easy. Don’t do too much physical activity and avoid raising your arms. You certainly shouldn’t be going to the gym or doing any form of vigorous exercise.

The First Two Weeks

After a couple of days, you’re probably ready to start reintroducing some activity into your day. It would still be beneficial to have someone around the house to help you. This is because you shouldn’t lift anything heavy or raise your arms too high.

Remember, you’ll have swelling for a couple of weeks after your liposuction. This means you’ll need to keep wearing your compression garment until your surgeon advises you otherwise. You need to adhere closely to the guidelines so the swelling will reduce, and you’ll be more comfortable. This will also guarantee the best result.

At this time, you will need to continue limiting your physical activity and exercise. This is particularly the case for anything involving your arms. You shouldn’t just sit on the sofa, however. Get up and move. Take walks to boost your circulation. This will promote more rapid healing.

Three to Six Weeks

At this stage, you can begin doing some light cardiovascular exercise as long as your surgeon gives you the go-ahead. You must avoid physically demanding forms of exercise, however, especially anything targeting your arms. Don’t lift weights at this point.

After Week Six

Once six weeks have passed, you can return to your usual workout regime if your surgeon agrees. Remember, however, each time you try something new, take it very slowly. Pay attention to your body’s response and never push yourself too hard. If you’re worried about any aspect of your post-lipo workout routine, talk to your surgeon. After all, exercising is very important after liposuction to guarantee you maintain the excellent result.

Failing to exercise after your arm sculpting procedure could mean you won’t maintain your results in the long-term. However, trying too much too soon is counterproductive and could cause damage. Talk to the Artlipo team and ask any questions you have about working out after your surgery. We can offer you all the expert advice you need.
